Types of Breakfast Bar Stools

When it comes to buying breakfast bar stools, you the consumer have a few options available to choose from. The two main types of bar stools available are wooden and chrome, with each type bringing different benefits to the “table” so to speak.
Wooden bar stools are probably the most common bar stools out there. With a score of different types and colors of wood used to make these stools, a wooden bar stool can be found to fit fashionably into almost any kitchen. Many wooden bar stools can also be extremely inexpensive for the potential budget minded consumer. Another benefit of the breakfast bar stool is that they can be used anywhere, not just the kitchen. And although it may not be an advertised function, don’t forget that any bar stool can and will be used as a ladder at least once in its life. If you do decide to purchase wooded bar stool you should be aware that if the wood is not treated or finished, it will need some upkeep to prevent the wood from splintering or rotting.
If wood isn’t right for you, chances are chrome will be your choice. Unlike wood, chrome needs very little maintenance to maintain its appearance. Chrome is very resilient and does not rust easily. Chrome is also a hard metal, so it can take much more tough abuse than a wooden bar stool without sustaining and serious visible damage. Chrome kitchen bar stools also have the benefit of being able to be fitted with a variety of cushions. Much like wooden stools, chrome bar stools and cushions are available in many different styles and designs.
The type of kitchen bar tool you end up buying will depend on a variety of different things, including the style of your kitchen. If you have an antique style kitchen, with a lot of wooden counters and cabinets, wooden bar stools would probably suit your kitchen best. On the other hand a chrome bar stool would look best if you have a modern style kitchen, with a lot of tile counters and metallic appliances like a mini bar refrigerator.
